A New Chapter Begins
Launching Voicecraft Live, artefacts from Poiesis, and gratitude for the journey so far.
A core work of this project has always been to invite transformative conversations. Real participation in the lifeworld. Embodied philosophy. Authentic, off-script: hearts and minds welcome together.
So that we can help each other see; so that the actions we take individually and collectively can be informed by wiser process.
So we can build a richer, deeper communicational field out of which saner cultural structures can begin to take form and re-emerge.
Now there is a new chapter underway in the Voicecraft project. One that will take on the spirit of the first live events in 2018 and 2019 and interweave with the learnings and onward process of the Voicecraft podcast and network.
The short video below mostly features footage from Poiesis, an event that took place on the 18th of November.
It invites crowdfunding support to make a series of Voicecraft Live events in 2023 possible.
In a time where modern culture faces a unique period of transition toward uncertain new futures, these events will support the formation of real relationships, developed in a context that welcomes wisdom, curiousity, and enjoyment, grounded in the art of crafting voice together.
This page shares more on the vision, and the current ‘perks’ that are available in exchange.
There’s also a list of indicative event themes for next year. Most if not all have been and remain in active exploration on the podcast and Voicecraft.Network.
Here are 7 of the listed 21.
Indigenous Wisdom in the Digital Age
Initiation & Elderhood
Selfhood and the Transpersonal
Transhumanism & Hyperhumanism
Propaganda, Influence & Authority
Men, Women, Difference and Healing
Transformative Philosophy
And so.
This work has been fuelled with energy and dedication for something approaching six years, but it’s philosophical roots go back further. In that time I’ve pursued many paths to help support the process. Winding, often challenging paths!
Unlike (some) other projects with aims and artefacts that rhyme, Voicecraft has not received financial investment nor did it begin from a place of financial abundance.
The most valuable return on the way so far has been the cultivation of relationships of all kinds, locally and around the world.
The context of those relationships and the common unity of appreciation for communication that connects, or at least a presence that strives for attunement to what is, with courage to seek deeper understanding, now feels like a basis that can support growth. And those who are paying close attention I think can see the efforts being made to move this project into a next phase. There is something to be built here. Something more to be built.
It’s the relationships that make that possible. And I am immensely grateful for the time and energy shared in building them.
I am grateful for those who have made space to be present with the podcast (or these words) throughout the years. And for those I have collaborated with privately and publicly. I am especially grateful to the many contributors at the Voicecraft Network who make that space what it is and what it can still become, and the patreons over the years who have helped to keep the fire going.
Thank you.
Discernment on the Way,
So exciting Tim!
