Porting to Substack & What To Expect
Dear reader,
After publishing to a mailing list for a few years on another platform, I fell out of touch with the process and that particular channel. I’m going to give rebooting here a go.
Please consider these letters public expressions from my voice first, and as way to stay occasionally informed about the goings on of the Voicecraft project and related endeavours second. (The only reliable way to receive notifications for podcasts is to subscribe. )
That is, I may publish past and present writings that have little or no obvious relation to Voicecraft. And additionally, given Substack functions a bit like a blog, where the letters stick around and can be easily accessed long after sending, accessible by anyone, I’ll be treating this like a public publishing platform, where previously there was some semblance of membrane.
I’m not sure how this will take shape. My relation to text seems to change frequently. And as these posts are public, separate from an immediate external dialogic relation, and asymmetric in relation, I’m not yet sure of the boundaries appropriate to approach and ingress. I don’t know what this feels like yet. So let’s see.
In general, given my interests and this context, the writings here may in general take form in philosophic contemplation about who we are, what we’re doing, and what we can do in relation to the inevitability of transformation, and the biting fog of cultural transition in its throes of mortidinal affect and tenuous kindling of hope.
Discernment on the Way,
Tim Adalin
