Underground Philosophy returns on Thursday evening this week in Melbourne. The topic for exploration is ‘Archetypes and Egregores.’ If you’d like to attend, you can learn more and book tickets using the button below.
There was also a Voicecraft Network session held on this topic earlier in June, a recording of which is available for members, supporters and anyone else with sincere interest in the context — feel free to reach out.
Recent releases..
E145| Paradigms, Membranes, Archetypes: Digital Age Philosophy w/ Alexander Bard
Welcoming digital philosopher Alexander Bard to ask: Where are we in history? What is the central question for social philosophy? What paradigm may be replacing capitalism? What will become of humanity in the age of information and attention? How can re-thinking a philosophy of membranes, paradigms, and archetypes help us situate living in the world today?
E144 - FUTURE HUMAN
And for totally different pace and rhythm, I’m delighted to share this multimodal experiment in altered states of conversation, sensing for qualities of the future human. This took place at The Big Dinner: like pirate radio, but with dinners hosted at homes around the world, hosted by the Voicecraft Network.
Welcoming psychonaut and hyperhuman theorist Carl Hayden Smith, dreaming mysteries teacher Sarah Janes, biologist and neo-Shamanic practitioner Simon van der Els, artist Jon Garner, and field facilitator Pamela von Sabljar.
Thank you to everyone who attended and hosted dinners!
Below is the awesome piece of art Jon created on the evening / morning! You can see it’s process of creation over the course of the session. To find more of Jon’s work on instagram go here.
Other releases
Last month I shared a long essay on Jiang Xeuqin Predictive History, who has recently taken the internet by storm. This is an audio recording of that essay, in case that is easier to engage with. I’ve uploaded it to a personal YouTube channel (though collabed with Altered States of Conversation). If you’d be interested in listening to more of these sorts of things, please show that by subscribing to the channel.
You can read the full essay below. And find a public Voicecraft Network dialogue Tom Lyons and I shared on the topic (about half way through this essay writing) here.
Otherwise, there have been several dialogues uploaded to the Voicecraft Network channel, mostly private for members. Again, if you’re a supporter of the project or sincerely interested in the context, please get in touch if you want to participate or listen in. Some of these were recorded with openness to share more broadly but are currently unlisted.
Thank you for your engagement and support. Becoming a paid supporter on Substack or Patreon are both great ways to that.
